Large enough for towels, books, and a bottle of wine; structured enough to stand upright in the sand. Each one takes two days to complete. The handle is leather-wrapped for comfort on longer walks to the cove.

A cooperative of makers in Coral Bay — weavers, potters, and textile artists working from whitewashed studios overlooking the sea. Each piece is signed by its maker. The cooperative was founded by a retired art teacher who believed that craft and coastline belonged together. She was right.
